The Generation Mode is a basic feature which allows you to render a bare logbook, which means no additional information other than the minimum required attributes the ATF requires. The OPTIMAL Generation Mode will provide considerably more information, as well as a small interface per transaction record or error corrections, document traces, revision history and more.
Change Tracking Options are available to provide you the ability to render a logbook in a final form, not representing entry errors, only the final intended version.
Filtering by premises status allows you to create an offsite report, or an inventory report, however, if you are looking to manage inventory or internally audit your premises, there is a specialized system for that called “Create Inventory Checklist” under Reports. You may also filter by any firearm type, model, make, caliber and reason.
After you click the generation button, you should see a ledger along with any search criteria you may have used. This page can be printed and filed, providing permanent access to the results generated (the QR code is the file location @ GunTRAC and can only be accessed by an authenticated operator within your organization. Alternatively, there is a link available just above the barcode, which will trigger a downloading of your logbook.
After the file is downloaded, open it in your browser. You can print the results on any standard printer, or just email the file as an attachment. Use Landscape settings and choose the paper size you prefer (Ledger size is ideal) if you wish to commit the results to ink and paper.
You can always retrieve the generated results of that search by visiting the Transaction Document Report page under Reports.
